Preclinical studies in normal and prediabetic mice demonstrated that Nextida GC at a dose of 4 g/kg significantly increased GLP-1 levels and thus improved glycaemic management. The first clinical study with Nextida GC showed that a dose of 5 or 10 grams significantly reduced blood glucose levels after a meal.
These results support the use of Nextida GC for targeted blood glucose regulation. The scientific background of Nextida GC is based on the incretin effect, which plays a key role in the regulation of blood glucose, in particular by promoting GLP-1 release. In addition, Nextida GC reduced the post-meal blood glucose spike by an average of 42% at a dose of 5g.
