Oryzatin® - a functional rice protein isolate with a protein content above 80%.

Oryzatin® is a natural, vegetable raw material with high nutritional properties. It offers an extraordinary amino acids profile compared to whey protein. Therefore, it is a wholesome protein that is particularly suitable for vegetarians, vegans and those with allergy against lactose and gluten. It has a high concentration of branched-chain amino acids. These amino acids are important in preventing malnutrition, which can occur during a vegetarian diet.

Oryzatin® is free of gluten, lactose, cholesterol and is 100% GMO-free. Thus, it is a nutritious raw material contributing to a healthy and balanced diet.

Oryzatin® can be used in a variety of food and nutritional products including protein-enriched beverages and protein shakes, soups, sauces, baked goods, protein bars, instant meals and meat replacement products.

Oryzatin® is available from brown and white rice both in conventional and organic quality. White rice is the polished form of brown rice where the outer bran layer is removed. Brown rice is slightly richer in fiber and nutrients, like B vitamins and minerals. On the protein level there is no difference and the two types of Oryzatin® (from brown or white rice) have the same specifications, with the white rice protein isolate has a more neutral taste and the brown rice protein isolate can have a slightly better micronutrient profile.

Rice protein as such is not water soluble and processing is very important to obtain satisfactory technological properties and a pleasant texture. Thus, Oryzatin® is available in 3 different primary particle sizes: 300, 600 and 1000 Mesh.
